Deep Tissue Massage

Designed to remove severe tension, deep tissue massage is a technique used to relieve both muscles and the connective tissue below the surface, known as the fascia. This method of massage helps improve range of motion, can relieve pain, and aids in healing injuries below the surface.

Myofascial Release

Myofascial release is a soft tissue therapy used to relieve skeletal-muscle immobility and pain. This method of treatment engages the connective tissue that holds the muscles in place, known as the fascia. The practitioner applies constant, gentle force to the tissue until the fascia “releases” knots or tension. They may use knuckles, elbows, or other tools to slowly stretch the restricted fascia until the deep tissues are reached.

Cupping

Cupping Therapy has been around for thousands of years and traces its roots to ancient Chinese and Egyptian medicine and was documented in one of the oldest medical textbooks in the world, Ebers Papyrus, which was written in 1550 BC.

The use of cupping has evolved and is widely used for pain relief, musculoskeletal injuries, and inflammation. Cupping uses negative pressure, or “suction”, to pull, lift, open, and expand the body’s soft tissues.

Yoga

Integral Yoga uses classical hatha postures, balancing physical effort and relaxation. In addition to a gentle asana practice, our classes also incorporate guided relaxation, breathing practices, sound vibration (repetition of mantra or chant), and silent meditation.

The Mending Tree provides adaptations to ensure that every body can experience and benefit from a yoga practice.
